Hi all,
I just purchased a Vapochill LS on Ebay and it does not appear to work. I took a little video (15 MB) of what is happening to make sure people understand my problem. In the video, I start the unit move on the side to get good sound of the compressor and then move back to the LCD output. You don't see it in the video, but I touch the head with my other hand to see if it is cooling down. It does not and in fact the temperature raises at this point. I then shut down the unit.

Thanks in advance,

the link dont working to me :(
At first look at the manual, everything is allright connected..ect..
but..
Couldnt demaged the unit while the shipment?
If you havent warranty for the Vapo, I could advice you to get the off the face of the Vapo, and get out the power cable from the panel in the back of the case, and try to put it directly in power (I dont know where do you live 110v or 220v have you at home, Its important, look at the compressor, what typ? 110v or 220v?) and if the compressor is working constantly without stoppege or something problem and the evap coolig down, we are closer to the problem, and its some problem with the chillcontrol or the back panel.

Link fixed, was missing the high port... Should work now.
To answer your question, yes the unit starts and the compressor appears to be running.
I am in 110V zone and the compressor is the 110v version: NF5.5CLX
Thanks for trying the link

Doesn't work for me
If the unit is running but the head doesn't get any cool, looks like it has a leak and lost the refrigerant.

Thanks, that is what I am thinking too. I will have a fridge guy look at it this week.

I just met with a fridge guy and he says there is a leak. Probably damaged in the transport. He will give me a quote tomorrow.
I also fixed the link again! Anyone want to try please?
Thanks

Be careful with what he quotes you. It's not a lot of work to fix a leak on such a small system, vacuum, and recharge. You may find he wants some insane amount of cash.

Link dosent work for me :)
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT amount og R507 in, "fridge guy" ALWAYS overcharge them here in denmark :p
I have heard stories where they fill so much gass in that you cant even start the unit :)

hi guys..i think i may have the same problem..i had the vapochill ls..sitting at home for almost a year ..and today i finally got my replacent fuses from asetek..and it started without a hitch! no fuses blowing up!!! woohoo!! but then..the unit would sit there at 25c...and it wouldnt cool down at all..maybe i thought it needed at least 20 minutos to cool down..but no change..still 25..26C.. could it be that because of the unit not being used in a year maybe it has ran out of gas? it was working fine last year until the fuse blew off and i got frustrated with it..and never used it again..back then it would reach -50 -55..
cheers!!! and thanks!

It won't run out of gas unless it has a leak. ;)
