DFI 965 OR P5K?Urgent deciding on buying a new board~

And has anyone tried either of them and replaced their previous board?

Wat is the difference in O.C?Eg: need less voltage for certain core speed.

i'd probably opt for P5K >>> actually i did.....i had a choice of P5K and DFI for latest testing and i chose the newer chipset .>> it's good :toast:

Well it seems like the NB can handle higher FSB on the P35... so if you have nice ram, you could turn down the cpu multi and run at a higher 1:1? Though there are some who argue there's an FSB wall for certain cpus

Yes. I did some testing on gigabyte P35 DS3R that could run more than 550mhz FSB on X6800 by my friend but failed to run more than 485mhz FSB on E6300.

I did try to down the multi to 6x, but the FSB also max at 485mhz like when the cpu was on 7x.

Thus, for my case, my E6300 has the FSB Wall. So no DFI or P35 for me. :slapass:
I will stick to my 975 chipset that can handle 470mhz FSB

yes CPUs have a FSB wall so it's really up to the CPU you are testing

i maxed out at the same MHz with both CPUs i have on P965/P35 asus boards i've tested so no difference

thx guys.But i just want the CPU to reach 3.6g with lower cpu voltage and maybe A good NB is wat does it? SO DFI NB and P5K NB?which is better?

What's wrong with the P5B Premium you have now or are you building another system? If you're running 3.6Ghz now on that board then there wouldn't be any point in switching to the DFI P965-S. You might consider upgrading to the Asus P5K Deluxe I guess.
