Has anyone tried to fold on the new radeon hd2900xt? What were the results? I think r600 is a folding beast.

It won't work until they update the client which is a couple months away supposedly. There is a thread on Stanford's forums regarding this.

Hopefully by them just rolling the SMP client over it tells us that they are developing this update... I really would want that for my upcoming X2900XT

The R600 is over twice as fast as an X1950XTX according to that thread on Stanford's forums. 2.2X was the exact figure I believe. So if a X1950XTX gets 700ppd, a 2900XT should get about 1,540 ppd when the new client comes out.

Probably more, because they would give the R600 harder projects to chew through. :yepp:

I would sure hope so! Sure seem to be taking their time about it, but IIRC the X1900 client took awhile before it reached public beta as well.
