This is an interesting product that has its applications in certain niches however the Koolance 1200W Liquid-Cooled Power Supply is not for most users. As an exercise in the feasibility of using liquid cooling to extract more capacity from a platform the Koolance 1200W Liquid-Cooled Power Supply is a huge success. Our testing proved this extra capacity is captured at the expense of the quality of the unit’s DC output on a single 12v rail. This coupled with the hefty $500 price tag simply means there are better 1200w power supplies on the market for a lower price. That said, this unit has a “coolness factor” that is beyond all others and will certainly appeal to many hardware enthusiasts and case modders alike. The Koolance 1200W Liquid-Cooled Power Supply is more than capable of handling two Radeon HD 2900 XT video cards in CrossFire configuration while staying in spec, and that is certainly saying something.

1200w.. soo useless, this only exist for saying: Hey dude i got 1200w power supply.
Whats the advantage of Watercooled PSU anyways? just get one that does not overheat and have stable rails @ load with sufficient wattage

This power supply is more of a show off item, then anything else. I dont see the point of paying $500 for a watercooled power supply, that still makes noise as a 120mm cooled psu.
Thanks

Yep. But it's a killer show off item. The pictures don't do it justice.
Unfortunately, it weighs 20 pounds, so it's not like you can take your machine around and show it off to people... well... certainly not without at least a back brace. :D

leave OCZ out of this imo.. they've been designing some great products so far
if anyone.. i think it'll be thermaltake to do such a thing..

Why spent so much money on a watercooled when you can get a totally silent seasonic for much less?
But hey, alot of people wil probably buy it just to say "Look at me, i got a watercooled PSU"

not at all according to the review. They have also tested the TT and they say it is much better. Actually the Koolance unit is an 850w or something like that model and hell they - overclock it/push it higher hence the water.
So in a sense they are full of it again Koolance.

Correct. It's in the review. The Koolance 1200W is an "overclocked" CWT 850W. Unfortunately, although keeping a PSU cool will allow it to put out more power for longer periods of time, it can can not keep out of spec components from having excessive ripple and noise.

Koolance = FAIL. i would take the TT 1200 watt CWT over the Koolance anyday. and as stated before PSU + Koolance = Disaster waiting to happen.
