Damn, Intel motherboards are expensive.
Intel the better deal? An equivilent AMD motherboard costs less then half that price. K10, please be good! :)

Not all Intel boards are good, that is a high-end board that does everything including make you breakfast.

I bought the EVGA 680i A1 which is a fantastic board and the new stuff overclocks very well indeed but regardless of all of that even with the E6600 @3540MHZ I still think that my current AMD system is much more resposive and over all the better system! The new Intel is very nice but still cant compete with even the older NF4 as far as low latency and responsiveness that the AMD platform posseses. For a gaming system and something new to Overclock yea its cool but I still say AMD for the win period!!!!:toast:

I really hope the price goes down, otherwise DFI will lose ALOT of money, especially with a board that doesn't use the top-end chipset (but costing more than 680i boards).

It's amazing how many people have come to believe the LT is a lower end chip-set. Just because Nvidia's LT reference boards have a reduced feature set does NOT mean the chipset has a reduced feature set...
http://www.nvidia.com/page/nforce_600i_tech_specs.html
There is no difference except for EPP profile support which anyone on this board won't care about.
Furthermore, the LT silicon is a more recent spin and has solved a lot of problems that plagued the full-blown variety. It's rumored to overclock more consistently from chip to chip and that's why DFI is using it and didn't bother launching this board until the LT chipset was available. That's also why EVGA started silently switching their silicon over as well.
IMHO, the board has a lot more features and way better stock cooling than any board for its price... but I'm obviously biased! :D
