Specs:
1800+ (I know it does 2GHz)
2 256mb stick of xms platinum 3500
8RDA+ (no vdd mod)

Well last night while trying to see what the highest fsb I could get, I set it at 220 dual channel and ran it overnight, with prime, sandra burn in wizard (on ram only) and the f@h client. Woke up this morning with no errors in anything.

My problem is when I set the fsb to anything above 220, I cant even get into windows. I think it is my vdd. Its only 1.6 and I havent done the volt mod yet. I have a stock AMD heatsink with AS3 and AS epoxy on the corneres to keep it on. On the southbridge I have the old NB heatsink with no fan.

Thanks,
Chris

Assuming you are keeping the cpu speed at about 2ghz no matter what the FSB, and you can post, but not get into Windows, I'd say it probably is the NB.

But try running memtest86 at 221 or 222 and see if it errors out. It's still possible it's your ram. You might also just try upping your vdimm and relaxing the mem timings and see if that lets you into Windows. If so, then your ram timings are what's holding you back. If not, more confirmation of NB issue.

i've found that i need to raise my VDD to run agressive RAM timings

classic vdd right there. Great oc for the 8rda without the mod though. You are lucky, many are not hitting over 180 fsb. If i were you i would be happy with that and not risk frying a mobo. If you are good with a soldering iron though i would go for it.
