Anyone have a phase unit in a U2-UFo? I have a question.....

I need to know the length of your suction line. I don't want to get mine made to long. I'm thinking that 24"s will be long enough but i need to make sure.

24" (61cm) would be plenty I would say. You might even be able to get away with less than that depending on the positioning of the phase change unit itself.

not really, the u2-ufo is a watercooling case, so unless you want mutliple radiators in it there is no point in spending the price when its not necesarry. not bagging on the csae, as its great for its purpose, but not to many people would have it under this section... I would air for the long side personally, and sorry im not much help...

Well it is going to have water as well. A PA120.3 for the GPU's. This is the only case that can house a 120.3 rad and a phase unit on the inside, and thats why i want it.

Take a piece of electrical solid insulated wire and cover the ends with tape or wire nuts so you don't accidently short out your PC. use standard anti-static methods. open un-powered PC and bend piece of wire from CPU to bottom where it will exit following the bend and radius tube will take, keep in mind of minimum radius's.

Tell builder that measurement you want from top of phase case to CPU,builder should design case and piping so measurement is middle point from bottom to CPU face he should subtract for evap height & design that flex tube can be moved up or down a few inches easily. If done correctly you will have a perfect fit.

Don't short out PC by using non-insulated wire.

solid copper wire is easy to bend and it holds its shape, once happy with route straighten out wire and measure length. Route as if wire is center of tube, so go from center of CPU to Center of EXIT point

Especially with this setup, I think your going to want the evap to have a 90 degree angle brazed onto it, probably evap, 1" or so of 3/8", a 90, then the flex. That way the flexible line simply does a U around the center part of the case. Now since the CPU will be 4-6" from the back wall, and the case is an 18" cube, I'd say your moving 4-6" to get to the center divider, then a turn with a 4" diameter, so another 6" of flex, then whatever to where it leaves the unit. So your probably right, an 18" flexible line might be enough. Wouldn't want it to be too short though, so I'd say 24" and have the extra push against the front of the case...

Sure it will.
120.3 on the inside top, phase on the inside bottom.
Heck, you could even add a 120.2 inside there if you wanted for NB/SB as well.

Can't fit SLI then without moving the fans or something outside. Air flow is still wanted.

Oh yea forgot to mention, well no i didn't i said earlier "GPU's". That means dual 8800GTS's. It wont work, and if it did wont look as nice as a U2.

I guess it’s all in how you mod. But a pair of 8800 with 120.3 inside top will work.
Not trying to change your mind about looks, but that’s not your only choice.

Yes, but another thing that is great about the U2 is that i will still have allot of room for other things. I'm investing close to i think it is $1600 in the phase, case, and water cooling. I want the BEST, for my budget. Which is about $4k for a new upgrade. So i think the U2 will be big enough for future video cards.
