Heh I think its ok at 1.8 volts But its not stable past 180 fsb for some reason. A7n8x with uber bios. Not rev2. Kingtonhyperx 3500 Slk800 lapped with 50 cfm fan and a G4..ti4200

Nice clock, some of the newer Barton 2500+ seem to be clocknig pretyt high, but are also pumping out a lott heat.
What are temps like?

You may need to blow an L12 bridge (third one, I think - but you'd better check) to trick the mobo into believing you have a 133 FSB chip rather than a 166 FSB chip.
EDIT: For instance, check this thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14183

But why should I blow it? Does it reduce Temps? OR is it to get higher Fsb? IF it's FSB I cant ... MY Ti4200 .. Is kind of broken cause a broke off a capacitor and i cant get past 190 without cruption.

It's to get higher FSB's. Didn't know you were being held back by something else. Although it seems strange that your video card would be having that sort of problem when the AGP bus is locked no matter what the FSB...

exactly what i was thinking. i can only think it may be a voltage issue.

Could be a Volt problem with vid card...
Volcom - NforcerHq.com In the Asus Forums At the top there are stickies which have them all. Look for UBER.

can't you raise the AGP voltage on the A7N8X?

yep yep! I tried that.. No worky.. Nice suggestion tho.

is that on air? nice clock!

The problem is not your card nor the AGP voltage. The problem lays in your northbridge where the AGP controller is. When OCing A7N8X past 185FSB, the NB will have a tendency to fail because of low voltage and/or Overheating. If you want to go past 200 fsb, you will have to do the VDD mod (explained in Nforcershq.com ASUS forums) and better cool your northbridge.

oh ok ... So now I have to Up Vdd Voltage .. "Check" and Ill hafta Take apart Northbridge and lap and apply thermal crud. Yes it is on Air thank you! :)

those new bartons look pretty nice i think that will be my next upgrade :)
The extra cache certainly helps. Bartons look to be winners, especially the 2500+.

Nice, here (http://users.pandora.be/gerard.sas/superpi.jpg) 's mine. (superpi is pretty high cause of ram timings). Maybe you could give yours just a bit more voltage since your temps are still pretty nice! Anyway, 2.3 is already... er, fast:)
Did you test it before you lapped the heatsink? I would like to know if it would be worth the effort of lapping my alpha pal:)

If you really want to run that Barton WO get a Abit NF7-S v2.0
I could only run 215x11.5 with my A7N8X-d v2.0

Well i saw it, but i thought it would be stupid to mention:p: Anyway, have you got any better results recently? Mine did like 2,3 the first week(or 2). And when i checked afther a fews weeks it would get up to 2,4. So burn in seemed to help for me:)(my pc is running distributed.net quite allot).

Here's my day old 2500 Bartie. Doesn't seem to like any more voltage than 1.85 or so. Not bad for no burn in. I was hoping for 2500 after burn-in so I guess I've got a shot. :)

Nice OC an the Barton, I have had mine stable at 2.53GHz with a Vantec AeroFlow, but she did get warm. . . 58c! My chip is an AQXCA 0309 and I did not have to blow any bridges to get it over 200 fsb. I couldn't run 3Dmark over 198 fsb without graphical errors on my NF7 v1.2, but I am running it flawlessly now at 200x11 for 24/7 use on a Shuttle AN35N Ultra.

Nice Road_runner, Now burn it in :toast:
After a little burn in i think it will take more voltages
