I've been looking for some info on it, but can't really find it using search, well nothing that's really helping anyways ;)
Do you guys know a link or how he managed to get that damn Vapo on it? Just can't get it in place here :)
Thanks

Hmm.. I looked for the thread, but I couldn't find it. He said something about using a steel plate on the back and then a clamp to clamp it down. It was actually a bit more complicated than this but I dunno where the thread went.

I use C-clamps, put a metal plate on the back for clamping to.

I use some metal to xtend out the bracket so the clamps get a good grip on the houseing.

Hard to see it here because of the black electical tape but I I cut out a round piece of foam about 1/2" thick. This way I just mount the card, then I stick the vapo evap in the hole, it lines up good this way, plus it helps to air tighten the evap. Then I just tighten her down, and wella, 567MHz :D

Opp, you didn't took the Shim off? that evaporator must be really small, or the shim is well placed... finally?

If you look at the AS mark on the evap you can see that the evap just covers the core, It is small:D

Well, that's good for the card... but a bit bad for a cpu...

From some days test with the mine 9800 + prometeia but I have big problems of condenses!! After little minutes the video card becomes ice-cold forming condenses!! The big problem of condenses I find it to the slot AGP!
I have 30° in my room :(

CarNabY how did you mount the prommy onto the GPU? I've got a spare prommy now too, and I wanna get it onto my 9700 AIW. I cant think of a good mount method though... maybe C-clamps like OPP did.
Ideas welcome....

I have to say OPP :slobber: that you mount that in a good way, I would've expected more dead cores :D

OPP, just one more question, is that an SE or a PE?
My PE seems to have some kind of extra controller, just removing that controller will still give a working Vapo PE?
Some -30 luvin' on it :D

So Carnaby,
How did you end up doing Prommy mod? Cutting plastic? Attaching coldplate??
