Well i got my 1700 running on my 8rda+ with A1 stepping with 2x256 of hyper X pc3500. After i got it i went right to twon with some over clocking but im not getting stellar results. MY cpu doesnt want to go over A fsb of 180. ANy more thatn that and it flashes a screen that says its dumping my physical memory. I tired dropping the multi down to 9 and trying the 200 FSB and still no dice. I have my vcore at 1.8 and still nothing changes and my vdimm at 2.8 too. I really dont know what is going on, maybe i just got a pollywally crappy chip here is every thing on it. axda1700dlt3c 9880007280751 juihb0310upmw. IM goint to go water in the next few days to see if i can get more but i think i might have maxed it out on an aeroflow...:(

try single channel with your ram, so just one stick... you may have a bunk stick... what rev is you board?

usually that is a realy good proc. the hyperx should be fine, that seems to oc realy well. the 8rda+ does not hit past 180fsb most of the time with out the vdd mod. the north bridge voltage is too low. you can find a vdd mod guide realy easily. at 1.8vdd or 2.0 you should be able to hit well over 200 fsb with a multiplier of about 10.5.

without that vdd mod you are right where taht board usually gets with any proc or memory. If you don't want to do the mod i would suggest sending the board back, eating the restocking fee, and getting an nf7 or 8rda3+.

The nf7, 8rda3+, and 8rda rev2 all use the nforce2 ultra chipset. the nforce2 ultra is garunteed to hit 200fsb.

I doubt seriously that it's your processor. I've not seen one yet that is FSB limited.

If by A1 stepping, you mean the Crush 18D chipset, I would suggest that the problem may be incompatibility with the HyperX memory. There have been a lot of folks who, at least initially, were having incompatiblity problems with HyperX and the Crush 18D chipset. Check this thread, for instance:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11895&highlight=hyperx+incompatibility

I'm not sure whether they have all been resolved or not. Have you tried flashing to the latest bios?

I have seen 60% of all 8rda+'s top out at 185 fsb. I realy think it is just the north bridge voltage. anyone that does the vdd mod to this mobo easily hits 215 fsb. You should try it, but be careful many have fried their mobo while doing it.

MBM5 (http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=311&file=1&evp=dffe30ee03ba4b9f1e0f6189e2e55389)

Find out what your VDD voltage is...will be listed under core 0...make sure your VDD voltage is not dropping too much under 1.6v's at those FSB speeds...

Also...what are your temps when running at 1.8v's and what cooling are you running now...

One thing though...my 310w does not like to run at 1.8v's...it will run at 1.775 and 1.825...but refuses to run at 1.8v...on any board that I have tried it one...
