View Full Version : fan/HS questions
I am pondering on getting the ultra 120 extreme.
I am going to upgrade my case fans to some 120mm type of fans.
I was thinking about Yate loons. Alot of people comment on high quite they are and do some great performance.
Well will those fans be good enough for that HS?

is 80cfm a over kill for the HS or does it need more CFM's for benching?
Also it says 40db's, guessing at full load. The regaler case fans wont be at full load so they should be pretty quiet ,correct?

Yeah i was thinking of those myself for the HS but didnt know if 114CFM is worth on that HS. Do the undervolt ok? No noise?

Someone needs to bench the Ultra-120 with that baby on it.

Its not that loud actually, just use a fan controller it doesn't hum at medium speed.

Thats a great fan. I used a few of these in a friends rig that i built. Two front intakes, two rear exhaust, and one on the CPU. All controlled by a Rheobus. The thing was the coolest running air rig i've built when on max blast. And still not "too loud". I prefered it at medium settings but thats just me.
