Ive been using my delta fan along side the intel fan speed control for the enzotech ultra-x i bought a few weeks ago, this way that when the cpu is at idle, you can barely hear it, but when its under load, the fan will automatically ramp itself up in speed. These past few mornings ive been starting up the comp and the thing has been sounding like a meatgrinder until the intel fan control starts putting more juice into it, you can actually hear it increasing in rpm thats how loud it is, is that normal? It just started doing this a few days ago and like i said, ive had it for some time now.

dirty fan..? maybe some dust n crud has gotten into the "spindle" part of your delta.

i'd do a clean / inspect and maybe light lube jobby on the fan and see whether you can make it run smooth again....but i dont know if i understand you r problem... are you saying it is something related to the speed control? or is the fan just noisy??

well when i first start it up in the moring the intel speed control is throwing very low voltage at it, but at that voltage its making a grrrrrrrrinding noise that it only started doing last week
