As the title asks, cuz i originally thought just 1 fan needed, and then i looked up more, i found out u can do 2 fans at same time push and pull. will 2 fans work better than just 1? If i only have one, should i make it pull or push?
i have an antec 900 case, plz suggest me some..Thanks tons guys..

one or two is fine. I think a 2nd fan may be over kill, the best way to find out for your self is two physically hook up 2 fans. monitor temps, and use a fan controller to turn on the 2nd fan.

I'm gonna do two fans when I get mine, because hopefully that way I can put the fans on lower speeds, and get the same cooling power as 1 fan on medium-high speed.

The second fan works best when you have two quiet/slow fans on, in which case it shaves 1-2C off your load temps.
If you have high CFM fans going it did not do anything for me.
Why bother? It is nice to know that if one fan fails you won't fry things ;-)

Somebody please try a push-push on two moderate/fast fans. Results can be surprising.

hmm think you just answered my question i just posted.
I was wondering if having 2 high cfm fans would accoplish any thing

...you reach a point of diminishing returns with fans the more cfm you add...delta temps plateau imo at around 80-100cfm
with 1x 200cfm (delta/which is unusable due to noise) i can get another -3c from my tuniq vs 100cfm
you do not get the same effect with 2x100cfm fans....which btw make no noticable difference when i have tried them....maybe 0.5-1c for the additional 100cfm fan...
Ridiculously high airflow around heatsinks does work but the noise factor is also ridiculous.

At higher CFM the second fan tends to interfere and doesn't help. That is above ~50CFM. I haven't tested higher, my goal is very nearly silent cooling.
I have found you rarely get more than 2-3C benefit going from 60cfm to 120CFM+. Certainly not worth the howling noise.

yeah thats my goal too, I want good cooling but not a 747 on my desk.
I had a antec tornado on my last cpu and will never have one again. Even though i had it turned down about half, it still was annoying

I'm just buying that to go with the blue-LED theme of my case on my TR-120. I don't need silence, but I don't want a hurricane running 24/7.
