What card for Vista 64?

I've built 90% of this PC and found out the motherboard sound just will not cut it for me, I will need a good sound card and new speaker setup. What cards actually work with Vista 64 and work well for 5.1/7.1?

I'll be using it mostly for gaming, movies, and some music. Speakers are up next after the card. I'm currently using a Sony 5.1 home theater receiver and shopping for a new sound platform. What should I look for?

I'm kinda new to sound cards actually...

I'd go with an X-Fi, they have much better driver support than most other sound card manufacturers so you don't have to worry about the card not working with Vista 64.

oh okay... I was trying to read reviews and search the forums, and kept seeing lots of "horrid drivers" everywhere and "avoid if using Vista", but they were all dated before Feb '07. The drivers work now then I take it...

So they do work for it, that's about what I needed to know, I think I have everything picked out now. thanks for letting me know
