Hello, guys, I am using a p5b premium vista edition mobo to o.c, but there is a wierd problem whenever i go near 400fsb with multiplier 8 or 9, even comp is stable with orthos, everythign is fine, but when my comp starts up, it has 1 long and 3 short beep and then after like 3 sec its fine starting with 1 regular beep , its not memory nor video card i am sure, cuz the memory is always same ratio same voltage , and the wierd beep is gone when i drop my fsb below near 400.

Basically if i got 400fsb and 8 multi, to rech 3.2g , it will have the "Beep"
If i do 366fsb and 9 multi its fine and its like 3.3g...

both are stable though , it just gives me the wierd beep.

Is it a bios problem? Is there anyway to use a hacked one with my p5b premium other than the offical 0402 one?

Thank you.

If you are taliking about the quick beep and restart, that's the board changing straps and is normal.

cuz regularly when u start up a comp, u only hear 1 beep right? mine makes 5 beeps in total, so that is the strap change beep?

No the strap beeps once restarts and the again. Look in the manual about the 3 short beeps. Try a little more vdim if it relates to memory.
