Hi Guys,

Still trying to finalise my build while waiting for horizon to arrive from MM (no point buying when the case isn't even here).

Originally I was going QX6700 + Striker but from the posts over the last few weeks I think I should be going evga 680i + QX6800. Its a watercooled SLI rig ( evga 8800GTX's).

Any problems with that ?

Thinking 4gb ocz flex ram (the watercooled stuff).

What about the DFI 680 LT board?

I haven't seen any results using that fellow with QUADs - also is it even available in the UK yet - I have seen people talking about it but maybe I am confusing it with the 's' model from DFI.

For SLI, the eVGA 680i Rev A1 would probably be your best bet.

Thanks SLI_DOG - that RAM ok do you think? Since you've already got the water cooling setup I'd go the OCZ Flex.

I like the PC6400 CAS 3 (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_6400_cl_3_flexxlc_edition) stuff cause I've got a feeling that it's binned more aggressively than the PC9600 CAS 5 (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_9600_flexxlc_edition).

Evga and nvidia have reported that long term vdimm of 2.4v or higher can damage the RAM on the 680i though so be carefull of that :)

That stablilty looks like it may be down to heat - hopefully the watercooling will help with that.

I'm using a Q6600 on my P5B Deluxe without any problems OC'd to 3.06GHz.
