Hey,
I've got 2 more choices. I didn't win the ebay bid, so I'm still looking for another motherboard. Right now, I've got it narrowed down to 3 motherboards, the DFI 965-S, the MSI 975X Platinum rev. 2.1, and the Abit AW9D-Max. For the rest of the system that is going to run on this motherboard, see my sig.
Here are the prices:
DFI 965-S : 140 + 7 dollar shipping
MSI 975X Platinum: 150 + 7 dollar shipping
Abit AW9D-Max: 155 + 12 dollar shipping (ebay, so price may be less...)
This would be a pretty easy decision if the DFI 965-S wasn't so hard to get my hands on, but I'm getting impatient. I want a motherboard that will be able to handle decent FSB (around 450-500 mhz). Though I'm not going to utilize it now with my PD950, I will later on.
I don't mind the area around the socket, as long as I can mount the Scythe Ninja rev B onto it without too much trouble.
I'm looking for something around 150 dollars that will do that. I won't spend more than that AW9D-Max, guaranteed. The lower the price and better the performance, the better :) (of course).
Thanks for the help,
Stealthyfish.
p.s. I hate Asus with a vengence. After my P5LD2 experience, I've not been very happy with Asus about their motherboard quality and service.
