Hey guys, I was wondering what to use for ripping dvds to xvid, that is multithreaded? Basically, I want a really simple app that I can just chuck in a dvd, mess around with output settings, size, bitrate etc etc, and it will dump and encode it for me. Basically a handbrake/nero recode 2 type app, but for xvid. I have tried autogk, and it doesnt give me enough control over the output, and its kinda slow.

MeGui is the name gives you full control over the encode.
Make sure you have Xvid 1...something installed.
You can choose to encode in xvid, H.264 (awesome codec)

AutoGK - press CTRL + F9 after you select the VOB file to encode and you will bring up a whole slew of hidden options for tight control.
