SIOUX

Hi Guys!
Finaly got some time to upload results from our last benchsession:) This CPU is exelent on DICE:) I benched together with my friend "Big G".
We could have done a lot better scores, but we were forced to run the 1333 strap instead of 1066...very strange...normally the board will do 510 on the 1066 strap. but cpu did not want to go higher unless we changes to 1333:(
Setup:
E6700 L628B on DICE ( THANKS PERRY_78 FOR THE TUBE )
P5B DLX Vcore + Droop mod
Single 8800GTX on VAPO LS VGPU modded 1.72v
OCZ GX 700W
G.Skill PC8000HZ 1GB
WinXP SP1
Here are some results and Pics:)

Thx Guys:toast:
Yes...its a very good mount on the 8800gtx actely..works like a charm:)
Nosfer@tu:
The board normaly do 510 on the 1066 strap, and 530 on the 1333. So i realy have no clue why tonight the 1066 would only reach 470....so strange..
Spi suffers a lot under the 1333..also 3dmark, but still a decent single card score:)

Lookin' great SIOUX. :toast: Quite the E6700 there. For me, even 500 1066 is a challenge. Was the 510 on a lower multi?
GL with your runs metro. :)

Gee!........This CPU ROCKS at ONLY -75*C.....!.....
Nice start you guys...... :D :toast:
Keep in mind that by lowering the temp of the CPU we can't get the same fsb that we had on air..... ;)
Actually we have TWO cold bugs to deal with: a. CPU internal "lines" and b. fsb...... ;)

Thx a lot guys :toast:
I will have to do some more mods on the P5B DLX for higher FSb on the 1066 strap then:)
I have a P5N32-E SLI here, and another 8800 is waiting :) but it wouldnt go past 450 on air...i watercooled the the NB & the Sb, and that helped me to 475. i will mod it, and hope to get at least 490 for some SLI action:)

It's not even lapped, what a nice chip SIOUX. What do the base temps do under heavy load? This is an all alu pot?

Very surprised it held such a huge load. That's a gem of a chip. Wonder how it would do under ln2 with a copper pot... 5.3+?

Isnt there any software that works with subzero temps for GPU ?? :)

Lookin good, dont understand why the CPU temp is that high, but it works awesome at that temp, would be neat if you got some LN2 on the sucker..!
Hmm, this convinced me that its worth buying a E6700 instead of Xeon 3060, especially with the new pricedrop, have to wait for next month though expences hit 4000$ this month, quite horrible..
Its been way to long since you've been online at MSN, I have to get some advice from you one of the days... :)
- But those scores.. I just dont get it, you're the tweaker, but whats up with the 2x 512MB sticks, you'll get better times with 2x 1024MB..? Furthermore, you can get some quite alot faster..?

hehe....no, but i am only off work 2 out of 5 weekends, so its hard sometimes to find a date where Brian and i can bench together. and the last 2 planned DICE weekend, the supplier was out ....so bad luck combined to bad working hours:D
Looking forward to see your results from yesterday:) saw something about 9x545?? Nice....:D

04-23-2007, 01:43 PM
hehe yes acualy we did Pifast at 9x547 :p
Also my 7900 GTO did 650@950 core on Dry ice :D
We dident get better OC on ln2 than Dryice, Weird but true :)
Today we worked on Hosting for the website :D
Also the forum will be the same as XS :D AND English so everybody can keep up :D
A new member Xt0m worked on a logo and a water mark for screen shots.
Wouldent want other members posting scores done at my home for Xs.org like last time. Such a shame when people think that a score made by 8 people at my house belongs 2 one person.
But Enough with the talks about cheaters :p
Hope to have water mark clear tomorrow so we can post the pictures safely :D

very nice man
get a wooden box and drill the mobo mounting holes with thick and firm 2cm high rubber standoffs and tighten the mobo to it to prevent flex....it will probably help a little more
this is a nice CPU.................the only other CPU i've seen this impressive was from Misko which does 32M SuperPI runs at 5Ghz on DICE
man oh man i wish i had something like this for my dungeon heheheh
