System specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
Motherboar: ASUS P5B-E Plus
Memory Dimms: 2x 1GB Team Elite 667MHZ
Graphic Card: Saphire ATI X1950 PRO
Cooler: ...Zalaman Fatality (dont remember nr just know its the vertical one)

CPU temp without OC (1.8GHZ): 21º :)
CPU Tem with OC (2.27GHZ): 29º

I am just furious now.

Why cant i overclock this CPU above 2.3GHZ?

Over Clock speed of 330Mhz it doesnt Boot...what is wrong???

Is it the Memory Dimms that cant stand the OC or its just the MB?

Here are the pics from CPU-Z and some other program (maybe 3dMark i dont remember)

It actually did Super_Pi in 15 secs ... but the thread isnt about Pi...

Need more info, just ask.

I just ask, if possible to give me a quick Tut to get it going towards 3Ghz

Well, you are not giving us much to go on. What VCore are you running in the BIOS. Have you followed the guide this board ( http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=115217 )

I'm running everything auto in BIOS

A.I. TUNING - Manual
CPU Frequency - 327Mhz (only really stable freq)
DRAM Freqeuncy - Auto (see bellow)
Spread Spectrum - Disbled
Evrything else is Auto (look bellow)
But no matter what i do i cant get past FSB 1310 and Bus of 331Mhz

I tried:
- Raising CPU Vcore Voltage to 1.400v but still couldnt get past 331Mhz

-Raising all the voltages according to the post you posted...(uh?)

-Lowering Multiplier to 6x and up the FSB, but cant get past 333Mhz

-Lowering the Memory Clock to 668Mhz (because without OC it would be the value of a 557Hmz memmory) And then raise FSB - Diddnt work, severall errors BTW

-Disabling every option said in this site that is suposed to get overclcoking to new stability levels (that post...you posted)

I'm really getting pissed of, never had this problems before with my old P4 2.6 Ghz (OC to 3.29Ghz Fully stable)

ai tuning to manual

333fsb
dram 667
110pcie
33.3pci
1.4vcore
2.1vdimm
1.25vmch
1.2vfsb
1.5vsb
1.057vich

disable spd and set timings manually
use 5-5-5-15-5-42-4-11-7-13 to start
disable static read

see if that'll work and move on from there. I think there's a newer bios too?

I had that same board running for a day (I flashed to the wrong bios and now its sitting in the corner).
I was expecting the same bios features as one of my P5B Deluxes but was sadly disappointed. The bios features of this board allowed no increases to the NB so your not going to get very high FSB ranges.

My P5b-e and p5b deluxe both do over 500.

First of all there is a problem with some boards in the 330 - 400 range. Jump to 401 Mhz FSB, give the chip 1.35 - 1.4v. Make sure you are giving the memory enough voltage and disable static read control in the chipset / memory timings area.

Get out of the 300 - 400 range and see what happens.

Thank you very much...what would i do without you guys?

I got it to Clock 435 (FSB 1731) @ 3.03Ghz!!

It does get very unstable at Clock 440Mhz and it wont boot at 443Mhz....

Do you recommend me to get some DDR2 800Mhz Dimms? or is there any other way to push it further?

A quick question guys.

I run phase and have heard these boards do a double restart following changing the settings in bios - is this true? I've also heard that some end up wiht a board that does it all the time :(

This would give my compressor a hard time, just wondering if you guys knew more, I've heard theres a bios fix for it on the P5B Ds, anything for this board?

When you make change in the bios, and save and exit (F10) the MB wil exit the bios and shut down completely and then restart (shut down power and then power up by itself) again with power.

yeah true, but if I only change the FSB, it doesnt need to shut down a boot, it just restarts normally.

when i changed memory timins, disbled read acess, disabled sprea spectrum, raised FSB, set memory to 802Mhz (from 667 hehe, BUS at 450) and raised some Voltages, it restarted like 3 or 4 times.

like, shutdown->boot and shutdown almost instantly->boot->restart->boot and working
