Hey Folks,

I have a quick question for you P5B users. I just got my P5B back from RMA and loaded the latest 1101 BIOS on the board. I threw in my QX6700 and noticed that the max multi was 12x.

When I had this chip in my EVGA 680i, I had it running at 14x - 16x easily.

I have no idea if the new BIOS is limiting the multi or not.

Could someone please confirm what the max multiplier for the a Retail QX6700 on a Asus P5B DLX. Thanks.

Did you unlock the multi in the bios?

Yup.. i unlocked the multi, but it only shows 6-12.

When I try to put 13x / 14x / 15x, it doesn't save it. So I was curious if anyone is running QX6700 over 12x on a P5B Dlx.

Not that I have ever heard.

All 3 P5B_dlx i had (including wifi and non-wifi) and my current Asus 965, the Commando, are locked at 12, no higher.

Personally I dont mind this as I like running a higher FSB anyway.
