I had a great though today. I work in at one of the big electronics stores and
we have about 15 laptops that are always on that are on display... so tomorrow im going to get them all folding. Just thought id throw that idea out there in
case anyone works anywhere with a lot of computers that aren't being used for a whole lot. Hope it helps our cause :) :banana:

If you are allowed to do so, its a great idea. Being laptops though you might want to set the CPU a little lower than full blast, I don't know how well some of those coolers in the laptops could keep up with full load 24/7.

Sounds like a great idea ForeverAgain - just make sure you have permission, others have had problems in the past for "highjacking" pc's for the client :)

I tried to get the Server Farm for weekend folding work but so far no luck with sys admin. :-) Laptops tend to self destruct when left on 24x7.

Laptops tend to self destruct when left on 24x7.

That is why I suggested setting it to 85% or so, that would keep the heat output down low enough for most.
