Here are the specs of my current rig:
Pentium D 915 @3.5ghz 14x250
XP-90 w/ 92mm Panaflo BX1
Asus P5LD2-VM rev 1.1
2GB DDR2 800 Patriot Extreme
evga 8800gts 320mb sc
CoolerMaster Centurion 5

I would like to upgrade my cpu and mobo, but I have only about $200 to spend on the upgrade. Is there a budget combo out there that would be a decent improvement over my current cpu/mobo?

I was thinking about going with a AM2 3600+ Brisbane setup with a DFI Infinity NF4 board (or other board similar in price) and spending the rest on a nice heatsink such as a Thermalright Ultra 120 to help with the overclock. I was also thinking about going the C2D route, but by going with a e4300 after the price cuts my mobo options would not be that great. HELP!!!

If your budget is strictly $200 you are better off with the 3600+ combo
even w/ price cuts e4300 will be $115 and finding a good mobo for that price is iffy

Proc- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103036
Mobo- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136015
and $45 for a good cooler
If you sell your 915 let me know I may want it for a folding rig

200+ what you get by selling your cpu+mobo? or just 200?

i'm pretty strict on keeping my budget at $200 give or a take a couple dollars. and i already have plans on using my 915D and asus mobo in a linux box/folding rig. so how much of an improvement would the 3600+ and dfi mobo be over my current setup? any other motherboards i should take a look at?

edit: i'm not a big fan of that fan on the northbridge heatsink, assuming i get that board what are some good passive heatsinks i could replace it with?
