hey guys, yesterday i fitted a tuniq tower to replace my arctic freezer 7 cooler, it was abit of a pain as i had trouble trying to get out the motherboard and fit the backplate on the back of the board.
I realised i had wasted money and time as the tuniq tower increased the temp of my cpu by 10C (50C idle, 54C full load), but this is not the reason why i am posting a thread on the forum.

From time to time, when i start windows, the computer freezes every second, and it doesn't stop till i restart the computer.
When i move the mouse around it stops then moves then stops and moves and so on. I haven't installed any programs recently so i don't think its a program related issue, plus when i log off and leave it on the log in screen, the problem still occurs.

I did however recently switched two of my pci components, i recently moved my sound card which was right undeath my gfx and moved it to the bottom pci slot where my tv card was. I did this asi heard once in a forum that apparently it stops the cracking noise occuring from x-fi cards since it conflicts with the graphics card when playing games.
When i retarted my computer, i had to re-install the drivers for my sound card.

This stuttering problem happens every 1 in 10 cold boots and usually the computer runs fine, but when stuttering problem occurs, its a nightmare.
I tried resetting all the configurations in bios to default values but it hasen't fixed the problem.

I was wondering if any knew what may be causing the problem, may i have done something to any of the components while i was installing the cooler, or is it the recent changes i made to my pci devices, or is it because the cpu is running too hot?

Could use some advice.

check your tuniq mounting, also im not making fun of you but did you use thermal paste? lol

from what i know a tuniq outclasses an af7 by about 3 lightyears

also about the other problem, its probably not your cpu but i think its your usb or ps2 mouse input.. or does your whole comp stutter not just the mouse?

yeah, i added a thin layer of thermal paste, arctic silver to be exact.
Theres nothing wrong with the usb, the whole system stutters.
When im playing a song or a movie, it stutters
