Hi Guys,
Im new to peltier cooling, but i've had a few watercooling kits.
I'm thinking about getting the Swiftech Thermoelectric watercooling kit (h20-220 T). Are these good for its value? currently they are $450 AUD (used to be around $800)
Has anyone got one of these kits? what sort of preparation will i need to do to my board to prevent condensation from killing my components?
Thanks

The kit contains everything you will need with some instructions.
I would highly recomend reading up as much as you can on the forums about how TEC systems work and also search for people using similar kit as you for any common problems or advice.
What system are you planning on using this on?
Have you watercooled before?
The 220 watt peltier in the kit may be too small to get the best performance on newer high wattage CPU's

Hi,
I will be using it on a E6600, P5WDH-Deluxe.
And yes i've used a watercooling kit before, but not on this system.
Just had a look on ebay for some peltiers, are they easy to replace in the swiftech block?

It depends on the block your using and the replacement TEC. Many big TEC are 60x60mm and wont fit into commercially avalable blocks without modifications.
Different TEC use different voltages, so if you swap TEC the PSU in the kit may be no use.
Swiftech also have a new TEC block out which is better than the one in the kit you mentioned (6000 series) see www.swiftnets.com
If you have watercooled before do you still have your old kit? (or is it unsuitable for TEC upgrade?)
