I think i need one of these in order to use my current CRT monitor with my future system (see sig). Right now i use a 15 pin D-sub VGA cable to connect my monitor to the computer, but after i put together my new system i'll need an adaptor cause the video card uses DVI only. I don't know exactly which one will i need, male to female or vice versa, i'm not even sure what the difference between them is. I've also seen conversion boxes for sale, they are kinda pricey, are they much better than regular adapters? Can someone recomend a good adapter or conversion box, i don't know which brands are supposed to be good. I'd appreciate any suggestions that will help me with this matter.

Yes, you will need one and iirc the card should come with 2 of them..

ok, so which one will i need male to female or female to male? What are the benefits of a conversion box as opposed to an adaptor? And what is iirc?

You'll need the adaptors that nvidia provides.. Its VGA(male) to DVI(female).. iirc= if I remember correctly:) I dont know about any benefits with either of them I think you'll get the same results..
