If there is but one reason to buy from Newegg, it is the RMA factor. Most hardware is one year no questions asked RMA. The real kicker is you get back what you bought, a new piece of hardware.

I bought a Raptor from Bestbuy when they were on sale and in less then 90 days it went bad. I could not take it back to BB so had to RMA it to WD. I get back a recertified drive. Something that did not work for someone else and got fixed.

I just bought an Abit F-I90HD mb from SFFStore. It worked 10 hours and died. I have to RMA it to Abit. I have to pay shipping both ways and I get this in return:
ALL items from the RMA Department will be Refurbished or Reconditioned Something that didn't work for someone else and was fixed.

If I would have bought them from Newegg, I would not be getting used hardware back. The RMA factor is worth a few dollars more for me.

I for one don't see a problem with getting refurbished stuff back when you send in your item for RMA. It was used so getting a refurbished unit back is fine with me. Sometimes they just fix your bad item (like a mobo, bios went bad so they replace the chip). Nothing wrong here either. Kind of like a car, you have a problem with one part of the car, do they give you a brand new car? No, they fix the problem. And that is fine.

Sometimes the mfr gives you a new item. I just sent my A8R32-MVP to Asus and they sent me a brand new board.

By the way, I'm sure newegg was cheaper than best buy, not a few dollars more :D
