I bought a Seasonic M12 500 W power supply for a new computer that I was building and I noticed that the 12x2 connector for this power supply doesn't have an NC pin/wire. What exactly is NC and is it necessary for every motherboard? I'm getting this name for it "NC" from the ATX specification. Is it possible that it can cause any problems, or is it not even always necessary? I have an Intel D975XBX2 motherboard.

Pin 20.
It is not supposed to be connected to anything Yet. So don't worry about it

Pin 20.
That'd be the old -5v pin, like I mentioned earlier at another forum ;)

Yup, no longer used or needed. Just a blank spot in every PSU connector now pretty much. By the way, the NC stands for "Not Connected" or "No Connection"
