hey, i recently bought a new rig:

E6300
BadAxe2
G.Skill HZ 2GB
BFG 7900 GS OC
WD Raptor 150GB
2 x Seagate 7200.10
Corsair 620Watt
Samsung SH-W183 SATA drive
Tuniq 120
X-Meridian

i downloaded and installed nvidia's latest drivers, also downloading coolbits in the process

i went onto the 'clock frequency settings' and wanted to overclock it slightly, so i pressed 'detect optimal frequencies', and it set:

CCF: 558Mhz
MCF: 1.35Ghz

question is, should i push it further?

if so, how far?

are there any ways to see if the card is stable at those frequencies?

also finally, could i seriously bugger it up somehow?

Well, use 3dmark 05 or 06 to test stability, run it in a loop for a coupple of times. But you can also play your favourite game for a few hours, and if you see artifacts of any kind, clock it down a few mhz.

By looking at other people's results you should be able to achive far greater clocks - http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=138572 f.o.e

ahh cool, so is that how you test gfx card stability.. looking for artifacts in the 3dmark tests?

is there any wany of increasing voltage to the gfx?

If the board has the reference 7900gs design, than it should follow the same volt mods as the 7900GT.

Good luck,
