I'm trying to decide between a couple of CPU's for a HTPC build. I want what ever is going to give me the best temps/performance, they are about the same price. So should I use:

AM2 3200+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103637
or
LGA775 Pentium D 805 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116249

because the main purpose of this rig is for tv/movies/music I don't think the speed of the CPU is too important, so I think heat and reliability are the biggest factors, which would you pick and why?

It is the envy of $300 X2s, as many 3600+ brisbanes OC to 3ghz on air.

Nice I think im sold on that..
My only fear is that OCing will cause some over heating. the space in which the HW will be placed is very tight, and not much room for cooling. I want to be able to watch HD-DVDs and blue ray on this rig, until i found out it requires at the minimum a 4200+ (2.2Ghz X2) as well as a pretty decent GPU, 7900gt, 1600 series or better. I don't think it will be expensive as I thought. I was going to try and get an AIW card, but I figure I can get a spareate dual tuner card to record tv.

thanks, the 3600+ is actually not posted though in that data base. I don't see a mild over clock being a big deal, I have already changed my mind from getting a micro-atx MB to full ATX with a ATX HTPC (better cooling) so I think i'll be alright.
