I'm pushing my x2 3800+ as high as I can take it now. I'm at 296mhz with ~1.61vcore with my memory running under stock around 245mhz

When I run OCCT or Orthos it will run for as long as I want it until I move the mouse, then crash.

Does this just mean the overclock is unstable or could it be something else? This is a freshly formatted windows install with just my motherboard drivers installed. I dropped the FSB to 292mhz and it doesn't seem to be occuring, I figure that means 296 is just not stable :confused:

Edit: lol to my typo of causes o.o;

Also agree. Orthos/OCCT should not fail regardless of what's done while they are running. When finding a baseline for a new processor, I loop cpu test #2 of 3d03 the entire time Orthos is running.

I figured as much so, it starts to happen at 294mhz but not 293

I tried running it at 327x9 instead of 294x10 and it gave me more stability, and I tried upping the voltage a bit but it didn't help.

Looks like I'll never hit 3.0ghz :( So close too
