I am looking for something a little off. I want an old school 4:3 raito however I need it to be LCD and at least 21" at the same time it also needs to have a 8ms or lower with a contrast ratio of 700:1 or higher.
Preferbly under 700.
Am I asking too much? I can't seem to find anything like that.

Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

any reason you don't want a widescreen?? If not , I recommend Samsung 206BW or 226BW

These two are the most popular as of right now

I have a 22" wide, and before that a 22" IBM CRT. I will be focusing back on gaming and in the leagues they give you 19" 4:3's I still want a big picture, but still 4:3.

You might be able to play at 4:3 on your current 22" widescreen - I play bf2 at that ratio on my benq because it looks horrid stretched and cut to fill 16:10. If you have an Nvidia card you want to try setting it to 'fixed aspect ratio scaling' - I don't know if there's an ATI equivalent but I'd be surprised if there isn't.

Hewlett Packard LP2065 if you can get one with S-IPS panel.

The later models with other panels aren't too bad, either, might even be better for dark games.

Yeah you can still run 4:3 on my 22", it just isn't desirable.

What problems do you get with your 22" at 4:3 soulburner? BF2 at 1600x1200 seems just as good on my FP241W as it did on my 20" IBM crt. I have to admit I haven't tried anything else at 4:3 yet though - I only got this monitor yesterday :P

No problems other than it not being as clear, due to not running in native resolution. All LCD's will behave that way though.

It sort of gives a slight fuzz to the image, like a CRT w/analog VGA connection. And in that respect, you may as well get the LCD because it will be the same thing you would get from a CRT but much lighter and easier to deal with.

Plus you'd have 16:10 for anything else.
