Hello all, I just purchased a sammy 226bw because I was so happy with my 19" 940bf as my first lcd for gaming monitor. This is my first wide screen so maybe I'm just up against a limitation on the refresh rate?
I really like it however in gaming, unreal tournament 2004 to be exact, it doesn't seem to have the response of my samsung 940bf which was a 4x3 lcd. My 940bf felt like this one until I raised the 940bf refresh rate to it's highest available 75mhz. After that it was perfect, no ghosting, blurring, just great.
The 226 maxes out at 60mhz if I leave the option checked to only show available rates for this monitor in the monitor properties window.
Is that really the highest I can go? Playing UT feels the same way it did on my 940bf at 60mhz, very unsatisfctory, some blurring etc, until I raised the refresh rate to 75.
