The copper core from an intel stock cooler looks quite useful. If i braze a cap on the top over the conical bit thats carved out. Would it make a decent custom evap?
Obviously i'd increase te surface area inside thru various means.
Opinions?
Only one way to find out....not a bad way of getting a reasonable chunk of copper though. :)
I've measure my X6800 stock cooler.
34mm OD on the base
36mm in height
37mm od at the top
11mm deep the curved scooped out bit
As i posted in your air cooled topic as a few might want to know in here

I've seen people use the copper core for LN2 pots, I'm sure with a lathe/drill press you could make a nice spiral block out of it and use a copper sleeve to seal it up.
