Hello,

Currently I have 2x1GB of OCZ Platinum 2-3-2-5. The most I have got out of them is 247Mhz.

Iv got a opty 146 that will do over 3.2Ghz but I cant run any divider except 100Mhz which put my current ram at 150Mhz. Wont post with any other divider.

I really need to get as close as 300Mhz++ as I can on the ram so I dont have to use a divider. Because at this point I dont know if its the cpu, mobo or ram that is causing the divider issue I'll probably be buying second hand/used.

What should I look out for?

Cheers

So you want a 2X1GB kit that can go over 300MHZ
well it is hard to find but the highest chance is the Crucial Ballistic PC4000 or 2X512 TCCD

On 1GB DDR modules Micron -5B is practically the only IC capable of such speeds, or at least you'll have the best chance with them.
You could take a look at my DDR RAM List (http://ramlist.ath.cx/ddr/) to determine what modules have these -5B chips.
Of course I suggest you do a little research on your own. XS is a good place to start. ;)

Yeah Ballistix 4000 is about the only thing that may get there.

Ok, see if I can find some...512MBx2 is just not option though with todays games. :(

Any ideas on how to try and run my current ram on a 166 dividor?

Yeah Ballistix 4000 is about the only thing that may get there.

Agreed. 300mhz on a 2gb set is tough. I second the vote for the Ballistix 4000.
