ya, F@H is real sketchy and opens every other time i try and open it(have to restart the computer before I can try opening it other wise it wont open at all), im running Ultimate 64bit and it has quite a few bugs imo, doesnt play games worth :banana::banana::banana: either. *sigh* i could never get the second client to start either, this is starting to piss me off royally.

BTW: regarding that issue with other client... you did downloaded two times to separate folders individual clients and you did put the local -switch to them?
Vista I don't know nothing... seems I won't either ;)

Agreed...since i installed it in my main rig i'm looking at how to go back to XP...What i'm doing is building a new 'main rig' based on a E6700, and when im done moving my data i'll format this one...That will teach me:slapass:

I love Vista and folding works both cores for me just fine. The only problem I see with the Vista client as of now is that it has a hard time letting go of CPU usage when the computer needs it for something else. If I have both cores set to use 100% during idle if I play games they are quite laggy. I have to cut both cores down to about 75% idle usage to be able to play games lag-free. Only problem I've noticed so far.

I think the only problem is vista 64 bit, so far vista 32 bit seems very compatible with most stuff. 64 bit is being a pain though, shame too. I don't recall the move from 16 to 32 being all that painful, wonder what the problem is going from 32 to 64?

Have you guys tried to copy large files from one disk to another yet, or delete a large amount of small files? I haven't tried vista myself, and hopefully i never have to, but i know people who have rather large problems with their vista installations performing worse on modern hardware than dos 3 did on a 8086 8mhz.
Edit: to be fair, i am heavily biased towards opensource and have hated microsoft with a vengance for years :D

Vista doesn't like anyone or anything, using vista is practically asking for it

it is a knock-out drag-out blood bath that is frustrating beyond comprehension. Requiring an entire redrafting and redesign of the DX10 subsystem. We hope to get it done before the end of the year but no promises. Currently we have two separate teams, Alpha which continues to be working on V3 and Omega which is currently working closely with GNU for V4(which will be open source but not support Windows applications).

Quite a project (<-understatement).
All I can say for now... looking forward to see if it's f@h(/gaming) friendly and may the Xtreme Force be with you (&the development team)

Even the most basic unstable versions that we have can run F@H and Boinc without any problems. I made sure of that. :toast:
