I just built a new machine for a friend, he wanted vista, so i installed it

and installed it again

and installed it again

i installed about 6 times so far

my problem seems to be now that my "bootmgr is missing"

but it boots with the vista install dvd in, whats really missing? how can i fix it?

the machine is amd 5600+, one 2GB g.skill dimm, an hitachi 80gb drive and evga 7950 gt, if that helps

i need some answers soon, he wants it in about 24 hours, thanks for your help in advance

download this sucker right here: http://www.pro-networks.org/vistabootpro/index.php#Download

it's vistabootpro. open it up and go to the "bootloader" tab. after backing your previous one up (this should be the first thing you do, cause it directs you to the backup page initially), say choose the "reinstall vista bootloader" option.

hope that helps.
