Alrighty we here at cTx have anthor give away coming up and we here at cTx would like to know what type of contest you would like to see? Other than the standard rules we have what would rule would you like to have ? So name your contest maybe we will run it.:fact:

Who can make a post everyday for a month in one thread. People will be given 2 grace days. The people who post everyday for 30 days will be entered in a draw for a prize.

Well it would need to be something everyone can do and that would benefit a large group of individuals. Limiting it to a single game would alientate a lot of users (for example I strictly do RTS and I dominate in RTS but in FPS I am a total noob, noob cannons ftw) but spreading it over a broad range of games makes it hard to judge individuals. You guys are a gaming clan at heart so don't worry if non-gamers can't compete but do keep that also in mind.

here is a simple contest.

well not simple in practicality, but at least in thought.

a "treasure hunt" here on XS.

Pick a starting date and time.

Have a number of thins to look for.

IN old post, user members, something that WE ALL can do, hunt for some tidbit of information, a post, a comment, something in the threads.

like who has the the nighest post avg..........except for NN_STEP :-P.

or, How many users have cat avatars?

just grabbing at thoughts, but you all get what I mean.........hopefully.


Now yes that would mean using the search function..........WOW there is thought, the NOOBs here will actually ahve to use it :-P.

who ever post the correct # of anwers, and what those answers are in a specified time frame wins......

So yes there could be flaws to this idea, but its a game, its something WE ALL can do, except for MODS/ADMIN hehehehe well there has to be someone that can't do it..............cause well they have access to ALL of XS mostly.

I'm obsessed with draws. How about you have questions like:

What is the temperature of LN2?

You get points everytime you answer a question correctly. Top 20 people with the most points are entered in a draw.

Like the idea of a scavenger hunt of sorts...
I'd say take a certain number of days. On each day, post up what the hunt for the day is. The first person to 'find' the item wins for that day. It could be anything found online, or anything on XS.
Ok well I gotta head to work.. if that doesnt make enough sense I can explain it better later.

i am thinking that we stick with XS as the search field, because well its for XS members, and this is one way to see how well we really know XS. The information can be found in the threads, it just needs to be searched for. This is for XS members, on here in the XS threads.

Those are the best contests because everyone can do that. I totally agree with this one.

putting the money toward CTX servers is a good idea, though I have yet to play on one :-P
