howdy -
after having no luck with nTune, i uninstalled it & went with ATITool 0.27 beta.
i tried both max core & mem settings.
things went well & i OC'd to 620/1000 & did a 20min scan with no errors.
played a few hours of HL-2 after that (although i didnt notice too much of a difference from stock)
here are my questions:
1) do i need to scan longer than 20mins to ensure stability?
2) fan control?? ati is not showing it... and im not sure how to change it.
3) my temps are about 55 idle & 77-78c during that artifact scan and gaming.. is that acceptable??
4) do people use the "startup" options?? if so, do you do it as a 'start menu" or "registry option" ??
5) do you use the 3d-application startup option? (it sounds like it could cause issues) or do you manually set your profile prior to gaming... dont think i need to have my OC profile loaded if im just checking my email.
6) should i ONLY be changing the 3d-perfomance core settings? (leave teh 2d and 3d low at stock)?
