that u cant use old save games with this patch suxx. couldnt they have waited a week with release so this patch would have come with launch?

I was hoping it would do something for Vista but nope...Still getting just clouds and fog on the first level..Cant see any people...

If you installed the patch and you want to continue your saved game simply move the save file to a different location then uninstall/reinstall The Game. Do not reinstall the patch just play it on version 1.000 there are no updates to singles player in it.


I know it sucks but I had to do it too.

Yea sorry about that, I was mad @ the guy beating my score because he was spawning people. I got him in the end with the sound of "You are a Butcher" ahh yes the sound of success.

haha lol, yea most of the people are just camping in one building the whole time, so i buy a few grenades and own them lol, i'm at school right now hehe IT class :P

I hope we see more patches soon that implement some nice things like favorite servers, adjustable crosshair size, etc

Oh, so that works? I thought the saved games were simply incompatible after applying the patch. If it's just a matter of copy/paste I don't mind doing it at all. Thanks yaddam. :)

Yup, just be sure to not make the mistake of reinstalling the patch for some reason.

I copied my saved games, installed the patch and pasted my saved games (overwrite folder), but they don't work! When I try to load one of my saved games it says the file is corrupted or something.:cussing:

Well when you said "reinstall" I thought you meant not to install it once, copy my saves back and then accidentally install it again. Hence, REinstall. But oh well, I wasn't that far anyways. Thanks for trying to help.
