I just got mine in today and I had a couple questions. The fans that I am going to hook up to it are 11 of the golf balls. it says they use 2w or so... i figure I can hook up roughly 3 to each controller and I should be fine. but my question is how can i hook them up without having to cut the wires? im trying to make this as neat as possible. is there a fan cabling adapter or something? Ive tried looking around and I cant seem to find anything. anyone have any insight on this? or what is everyone else doing to hook this thing up>?

gp to performanc pc's, they'll do anything and already have a lot of spliter cables made up. or you can get some 3 pin connectors, cable rap, heat shrink, soldering iron and make your own. A lot of fun really.

Agree with Mcoffey. Performance PC's offers splitters at common or custom lengths. You can ask them to make pretty much anything you want in terms of length.
I'd prefer to cut the wires and add my own terminals at the appropriate length.
Different strokes.

pretty much what i did soldered, heat shrinked, and sleeved , and it was fun only took a couple of hours to do 10 fans:D

yeah i guess your right. I was just thinking of something that I could just plug all them into like a 4 into 1 splitter something like that. I dont see anything like that on performance pc website... i might be missing it

I do the same with all of my radiators. It always turns out good and its a hell of alot cleaner/simpler than having multiple plugs.

Can anyone care to explain the exact process of what you guys are doing to clean up the cables?
Are you guys talking about stripping the ends off of 3 fans, twisting them together and then soldering on 1 molex and 1 motherboard connector? or are we talking about using 1 sunbeam connector and then soldering on 2 extras so its like a 3 way tentacle?
I purchased 2 sunbeam rheobus' for my UFO2 and it's just this crazy mess of wires right now. I got 12 fans as well (6 on PA120.3, 1 intake, 1 exhaust, 4 on MCR-220).
yup,
much cleaner if you get your own connectors and do you own, not to mention cheaper and cleaner. That way you can get some lead wire and custom length everything, and you can get some pretty cool colored sleving too. Kind of an art in and of itself. I refer to it as cablegami:D It's the last finishing touches I'm putting on mine before I post my build.

you got any pics so i can get an idea what you mean? i think im gonna have to head to a hardware store anyways. they might not have the fancy colors but I dont want that anyways. ill find some heatshrink stuff and see what i can do. i just hate cuttin the connections on the fans but nothing else i can do that i can see.

I understand your hesitation...thats how I felt before I chopped mine but it all worked out. If you run into problems you can always ask for help here.

In anycase, how'd you get your X-fi ribbon cable in a round manner like that? That's the one thing I'm daring to do.
Basically I just folded, zipped and sleeved it. That was actually a lot more challenging than the fan stuff I did.
If you have any other questions about it just post in that thread and I'll give ya as much help as I can. (I don't want to HJ this thread.) :)

Lol, Yate Loons have those annoying molex pass throughs that cause major cable clutter. I felt real good when I sabotaged one of them to do a repair/mod on my sunbeam rheobus.
