I see some people clean their water loop parts with just boiling water, which to me sounds like a better idea than using vinegar, plus I don't have to worry about flushing all the parts a thousand times to make sure I don't leave any vinegar in there.
I was just wondering if there's any danger in damaging a seal or an o-ring with the boiling water, due to its high temp?
Thanks.

well, naturally, you wouldn't want to put any plastics (delrin) or rubber (o-rings) into boiling water. I believe this was only in reference to metal parts.

just scrub plastic parts clean with like a old toothbrush or something and wash them off with hot water from the sink

That didn't answer his question. If you a concerned about the rings, leave them out when you use the boiling water.

Just to let you know, I killed an O-ring in my loop over-tightening somehting, and bought a 20 pack at home depot for about $2. Just so you know the cost involved with the risk of killing off an O-ring.
