Hello, I've assembled my new WC kit as described in the signature but my CPU temperature is still not as desired. I'm getting 45 iddle with 3,5ghz (500x7) 1.525v in bios => 1.46v in windows and around 25oC ambient temperature. I do believe that the problem is the conection between the processors dies and the external heatsink of the encapsulation. I have lapped it with no success (same temperature). Has anybody had this problem? thanks.

Might it have something to do with your "brazilian custom radiator" ?

The rest of the setup looks excellent, I would swap that for a real PA120.3 or a name-brand radiator... after a lap, and if that pump is on the "5" setting, it has to be the rad, assuming you have applied the TIM correctly.

Lol I didn't notice the brazilian custom thing :lol2: Show us pics of it.

what are load temperatures? Idle temps are almost meaningless.

Yes, I'm using AS5, the radiator is well constructed, it is similar to MCR 220, I don't think that it could be the problem because I've made a test where I have lowered the D5 to "1" position and that didn't change a single degree, that's why I'm thinking the problem is inside the CPU itself. Also, when I was using intel stock cooler I was getting 55oC with 1.3 volts and 2,4ghz, I think that's way to much for the stock cooler.

Yea I think something is wrong, maybe bad contact between IHS and core?

If those are core temps you are talking about, i don't think those temps are all that bad.

that is all relative to the ambient room temp. Also, that temp would not be crazy if your ambient temps were high...

Also, just because it is "well constructed" does not mean the internal construction is the same design as a proven PC radiator... looks on the outside mean absoutely nothing.

66oC full load with TAT, pump = "1"

I can see everything becuase the radiator is fins and fins there's not hidden, it uses those flat tubes, it has a ton of fins, it's well done. About the temps, we are in the summer here so the temp is always between 25-30oC. I do think a bad result with the stock. there's a guy who mentioned 60 full with 3,8ghz and 1.5 volts, almost the same system as me, I tought that this new WC would not ever go beyound 60oC... it's a 2 core processor, not a quad!!!

Guys take a look at what he said his temps were with a stock cooler. I Think something is wrong.

Check again, you didn't.

I have lapped it with no success

have you checked the contact area on the block, maybe youre IHS is still not flat (how did you lap it?)

I lap it until there's copper in every part !!

Uh I don't know about those radiators....I wouldn't say they're as good as a BIP or something though. Well that's just a guess.

rads may be creating too much flow resistance.

Well its not like it has more 90s than your average rad......
The rads you see more often have the threads in the uh, whatever you call it part, and the water still makes a 90 degree turn to enter the tubes.
Also, he said that when he set his D5 to the lowest setting, temps were still 60 some.

I count 4 rads.

Thats an awful lot of restriction.

No, I was misunderstood, I only use one of those big radiators, not all of them! that was the only picture I found.
