Well, I can only think of a few homemade blocks that were pretty decent and recent (hey it rhymes!). I don't think there's enough of them to really start a gallery lol. From the looks of it, what happens is homemade blocks get their own thread, everyone goes "cool", then its forgotten... pretty sad if you ask me.

Look up Pietach's blocks. They look pretty good, although the blocks were used on an Athlon XP system iirc.

Yes, his, aussiejester's, some german guy who doesn't post a lot here, then a few from other sites on the internet are all I can come up with. I'll be making one soon ;) NoL made blocks of his own but I haven't seen them before.

Anyone can make a great water block if they have access to a cnc milling machine. With the amount of exceptional blocks posted in the WC section an amateur could come up with a good enough design to compete with the best of the best. However the obvious problem is that most do not have access to such a machine. i have numerous drawings of potentially great WB's but it means nothing without the proper equipment.

If you'd created a topic with a title saying ''Show us your DIY blocks''

If you need good waterblock designs that don't need a CNC, google the Krakatoa GPL waterblock design from my friend Captain Slug. It'll give you all you need to get started.

I'm currently sporting custom cast (at home) reservoirs and pump tops, those interesting enough?
Homemade DDC top based on Petra's top and a lot of steampunk design ideas.

As stated above, theres no real gain with making one for yourself. I just put in an Dtek Fuzion and came to that conclusion by myself.... Boring but true. But theres a lot of fun doing it. Thinking one out, make a cad drawing and hopefully manage to get one of your CNC friends to make one......

I'm just having the time of my life making it all. Besides, DESIGNING it for differential cooling means that I don't get the hits that normal inline flow blocks take.
