I have to choose one of these boards and no I can't spend anymore than AU $120 so these are my only choice.
Which out of the 2 has more features and a better ocer?

Yeah I know.
My 2 previous gigabyte boards were :banana::banana::banana:.
But is the asus really any better.
The asus cost $20 more and only has 5.1 sound (which is ok) but why would it cost more if it isn't as good part wise?
Is it a decent ocer?

Do you really need SLI? If not the DFI Infinity and Biostar TForce550 should be cheaper than $120 AU.

What about this DFI board?
http://us.dfi.com.tw/Product/xx_product_spec_details_r_us.jsp?PRODUCT_ID=5135&CATEGORY_TYPE=INFINITY&SITE=US
how does that compare? Is it as good as the Lanparties were for socket 939?
It's only an extra $20 and I'll get a 3600+ instead of a 3800+ if it is as good as the lanparties
The Infinity's are excellent overclockers, at least as good as the lanparty's! If you want the best for overclocking, DFI hands down.
That Asus has very limited VDIMM IIRC.

Hmmm.
What could I expect to hit HTT wise? on it, Does the SLI oc better than the ultra? Also I heard they're picky about ram and i can only afford Kingston but I plan not to oc my ram, just the cpu. But I don't want a divider ue to bottlenecks

ah well I guess 333htt is enough since i'm not ocing ram.
How high should I be able to go before I change the stock cooler?
It supports DDR2-800 despite not saying it on the web site. I have no idea why this is.
As for HTT: with the right settings and cooling you could break 400. I had mine up to 390, but it depends on the CPU too. This is why I said DFI hands down for overclocking.

hmmm
when the venices came out breaking 300 was crazy.
I heard the brisbane 3600+ is a god ocer, I could possibly reach 400HTT with that.
