7900GTO single card record 3D03.....

My fisrt gold award from taking No1 spot for 7900GTO single card in 3D MARK03.
Done on Abit IN9 32X MAX, E6600 @ 3861, air cooled(Freezer 7 Pro). GTO was @ stock cooling and no mods were used.

My scores fairly close as well. If i could get a board to stay alive id clock this think higher and close in on 29k. With a program that will let me OC the Vid ram higher than 1.6GHz im comin for ya ;).

@ Zeeke - I have two good GTO`s here, had them up to 736/1910(unmodded and on stock cooling) last time i used them. Got this score with very little effort so i know it can be bettered:)
Testing 7900GS cards for now but if the chase is on maybe i should put the GTO back to work and really push it hard. Looking forward to the competition my friend:)

The first one i purchased was defective upon arrival, bad sata controller, second worked, minus some annoying bugs like the usb mouse and keyboard support setting in the BIOS... But then died on me within a few days(no POST, hung on memory testing POST code. Took out one stick, it worked. Swapped sticks, it worked. Both sticks of ram worked, board just reused to do dual sticks in any combo of slots). I felt like abit had rushed this board a bit because of the what seemed to be immature BIOS. However, after hooking up my ol AW9DMAX, and it kind of did the same thing, where it locked up, and i had to hard shut off, it would not boot back up. Turns out my PSU was sketchy as well. Back to newegg it went, and today there should be a new mobo, a PCP&C 750W Quad, and an 8800GTS :D

Nice, I wish more places carried these cards but I guess that's getting pointless now with the 8800GTS coming down. I only know of one place that has the 7900GTO in stock and can ship to the USA (only 3 in stock) and it's $283 before shipping.

Think i may need a new power supply, put both my GTO`s in this week and have had trouble stabilizing my rig at current settings, im thinking i need more power.

On what planet? Vista may help for 8xxx series, but you will lose points with other cards.
