how big is it in comparison to the motherboard?

Length wise it runs the width of my board with about 1" of motherboard left showing (on the right side by the HD's). There is just enough room in my TT Shark case to get the PCI-E power connector on the card.
It also goes directly over my chipset cooler, with only a few mm in between them.
I can get a picture later if you need it, I am out the door now.

it fits in my p180 with a hard drive in the middle cage with room to spare.
