I just got game and I can't play. I keep getting a message when i try to join a server that says something about wrong version. Does anyone know where I can pick up a patch for game?

There is no patch ATM.

The retail version is: 1.0

If you are getting an error message you are more and likely trying to connect to a .0001 server which are beta.

well wtf... it appears that there are a US east and US west servers now with low ping, but they are versions 1.0001 ?WTH? retail is 1.0000, and beta is 0.0001 how can there be a 1.0001, so yea i can't connect to it, and there's no updates... this is ridiculous.

The problem your talking about reflects the poor netcode that is in the game. While I am not saying thier arent hacks, the main problem is that STALKER is a bandwidth monster and with poor netcode makes it look like the server is lagging which it isnt.
