My X-fi stopped working a couple of days ago
Now last time it happened I took it out, put it back in after a week or so and it worked fine, tried it this time and no luck (although before sometimes when I boot it just wont work..... :confused:
Spec:
E6600 at 3.3ghz
P5B deluxe wi-fi
2gb teamXtreem PC5300 (the stuff K,I,T.T. has)
X1900xt 512mb
X-fi fatal1ty with console
sata dvd-rw
3 samsung sata2 spinpoint drives
xp pro
now I was using onboard sound, but have disabled, uninstalled drivers etc and still no luck when it gets to the found new hardware it has "multimedia audio controller" but that is it and cannot install drivers when it does recognise it
so far tried 2 different PCI slots, will try them again tomorrow/this weekend but other than that I am stumped :( .....dont know what to try now, any suggestions? (including a botch fix)
