I just upgraded to 2GB DDR2-800

its this set:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211066

it's DDR2-800 at 5-5-5-18 1.8V

I have it at 888 and 5-6-6-20 2.4v

it did the same :banana::banana::banana: as my DDR2-1000... the timings are NOTHING like what they should be... nor the voltages...

I think it's my DS3's ability to choose voltages and timings at its own free will...

anyone own these or experiment with these?? I haven't tried DDR2-1000 with them yet because I'm afraid of what my DS3 will do to them

any clue???

and wasn't there a way how to unlock the ability to change the timings in the BIOS???

if your fine with running 2.4vdimm inside windows, you could try clockgen or setFSB, or anything like them programs, cos they will just show u what clocks you can achieve at them timings, mobo shouldnt change your voltages seing as your in windows, and if it trys to you'll just get a restart.:)

what I meant was you had to kinda... hack the bios or something to get the memory timings to become manually adjustable

You hit CTRL and F1 in bios, then it's under one of the menus. But, that ram is rated 1.8v only (no range given) and you're running it at 2.4v; man, how long do you think it will take this abuse.

well my BIOS defaults it to that... I can adjust it....

I do have some good warranty on my RAM though...

got an estimate on what voltage I should run it at for DDR2-1066? and latencies?

Actually I'll just get slightly better RAM...
